The Formula Libre race at the BARC meeting at Mallory Park on March 8 1964 was won by Tony Hegbourne's Cooper Ford. Second was Bill Bradley, MRP Cooper Ford with Mike Hailwood finishing third in a Brabham Ford. Chris Lawrence was going well in his twin engined Deep Sanderson 105 when a punctured tyre sent him into the bank at the Esses.
