Brian Henton drove his Boxer PR2 Hart to victory in the Jochen Rindt Memorial Trophy at the Formula 2 International meeting held at Thruxton on Easter Monday 1977. Eddie Cheever (Ralt RT1 BMW) and Alex Ribeiro (March 772P BMW) finished second and third on identical times. The race was round two of the European F2 Championship which was eventually won by Rene Arnoux
