European F2 1968

The 1968 Easter Monday Formula Two race at Thruxton was a round of the European F2 Championship and featured top drivers including Jochen Rindt, Piers Courage and Derek Bell. It was won by Rindt in a Roy Winkelmann Brabham BT23C despite a spin at the chicane where he disappeared into a ditch and re-emerged covered in dust. Jean-Pierre Beltoise finished second in a Matra MS7 with Derek Bell third in a Church Farm Racing Brabham
