Paul Hawkins was runner-up in a Ford GT40, while Tony Dean came third in his Ferrari Dino. Hugh Dibley, driving the Howmet TX gas turbine car, retired on lap 27 when the starter motor wiring burned out. The race was a round of the RAC Sports Car Championship
